Meet Badger

THIS IS BADGER THE ADVENTURE DOG

Badger is an Alaskan Klee Kai. This breed shares a lot of genes with Siberian Huskies, but are much smaller. Badger is larger than most Klee Kais - he’s about knee height, and weighs 30lbs. He is a wonderful dog and loves adventures.

Badger spent his youth in San Francisco, and now that he's grown he spends some of his time living in Oakland, and some of his time on West Coast adventures with me.

Many dogs do best when they have a job; Badger's job is to be polite and well behaved out in the world - and he is very good at his job. He goes in stores and on the subway, is good off leash, meets other dogs easily, and loves people. He goes on lots of bike rides, and his other owner is an assistant manager at a high-end dog daycare and boarding facility, so he gets lots of good socialization. He is gentle with small dogs and children, knows a hand full of tricks (like standing on his hind legs or giving a high five) as well as several "work" commands (like closing the front door or waiting next to the grocery basket while I go down the aisle for an item). He especially enjoys parties and get togethers, where he can mingle and meet people; as a relative of chatty Siberian huskies, sometimes he likes to join the conversation, enthusiastically taking his turn making the mouth noises.

In short, he is a dream companion, and I don't know what I would do without him. Here are a few pictures of Badger going on adventures and otherwise enjoying life
